Confirming the matter to the Dhaka Tribune, Sitakunda police station OC Delwar Hossain said: “An Awami League election campaign has been attacked in the Madam Bibir Hat area of Sitakunda.
“Initial investigation finds that improvised bombs were used in the attack.”

Meanwhile, Sitakunda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Milton Roy said: “Following the attack on a ruling party campaign, we have deployed law enforcement to investigate the situation.
“We suspect that petrol bombs were used, but cannot confirm this information at the moment.”
Inspector Md Jahir, in-charge of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost, said: “Three people have been admitted in the burn unit of this hospital, after an attack on their election campaign rally.”
