The senior BNP leader claimed the government used the state machinery to hold an orchestrated 11th general election
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has made the claim that the government did not win by popular votes.
RAB and the police played a significant role in the one-sided election; the government is now controlling the media, but national and international community knows the real scenario, he stressed.
The senior BNP leader claimed this while addressing the media at a press briefing in BNP's Naya Paltan headquarters on Wednesday.
“For voting for our party, a woman was gang-raped by ruling party supporters at her home in Noakhali’s Subarnachar upazila on Monday," he claimed.
Rizvi further stressed: “Before the election, our leaders and activists faced harassment. Even now, thousands of our activists cannot return home because of the false cases.”
The senior BNP leader then reiterated their demand for the immediate release of all arrested BNP leaders and activists.
