CPC expressed delight at the victory of Awami League in the 11th parliamentary election
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the Awami League Central Working Committee for its victory in the 11th parliamentary election held on December 30.
The congratulation came through a letter issued by Beijing on Friday.
The letter read: “Delighted upon hearing the victory of the Awami League in the 11th parliamentary election of Bangladesh, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China wishes to extend to the Awami League our (China’s) heartfelt congratulations.
“The long-standing friendly relations between the CPC and the Awami League have played the role of political guidance in the development of China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership.”
It continued: “On the threshold of new and important opportunities for the development of China-Bangladesh relations, the CPC stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Awami League in our concerted effort to build a new type of party-to-party relations.
“That seeks to expand common ground while reserving differences, and enhances mutual respect and learning, and to promote the steady progress of China-Bangladesh relations to an even higher level.”
The letter concluded with CPC wishing the People’s Republic of Bangladesh prosperity and her people happiness.
