According to a met office bulletin published on Friday, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet, Barisal and Chittagong divisions in the next 24 hours.
Due to the heavy rainfall, landslide may occur in the hilly regions of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, reports BSS.
The met office also predicted “light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind” in some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.
The temperature may fall by 2-3°C during the day and at night temperature it may fall slightly in parts of the country.
The country's highest temperature was recorded on Thursday, which was 34°C in Rajshahi. While the lowest temperature was recorded on Friday, which was 24.1°C in Srimangal.
The highest rainfall in the 24 hours till around 10am on Friday was recorded as 171mm in Sitakunda, followed by 135mm in Rangpur's Dimla.
The sun will set around 6:35pm on Friday and will rise around 5:33am on Saturday in Dhaka.
