Saraswati puja fair in Tangail

A fair has been organized at Tangail Kalibari Temple premise to celebrate the Sri Sri Saraswati Puja which will be held nationwide on Sunday. 

Members of the Hindu community, especially students, will be worshipping Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom.

At the fair artisans are trading their crafted Saraswati idols as well as other essential requisites for the puja. Idols are sold at prices ranging from Tk300 to Tk10,000. Devotees from near and far are showing up at the fair.

During the puja, Hindu devotees will celebrate the puja in their homes, different educational institutions and temples.

Saraswati puja is celebrated every year on the fifth day of the bright fortnight on the month of Magh, marking Goddess Saraswati’s birth anniversary.
