Prominent author Selina Hossain attended the prize-giving ceremony of “Scribbler’s Den,” an intra-university short story writing competition organized at Brac University.

The competition was organized byBrac University Communication and Language Club (BUCLC)on Wednesday, a press statement said.

Selina, a Bangla literary genius, attended the event as the chief guest. Also in attendance were Lady Syeda Sarwar Abed, associate vice president of student life at BracU and senior director of Brac Institute of Languages (BIL), and Dilara Afroz Khan, assistant professor and director of the Co-Curricular Activities Office at BracU, as special guests.

Scribbler’s Den is an intra-university short story writing competition held regularly at BracU, with the aim of providing its students with a platform where they can showcase their creative writing skills.

This time a total of 27 Bangla and 47 English stories were submitted to the BIL, coming from both Savar and Mohakhali campuses. Three stories from each language were selected from that pool and awarded on Wednesday.
