As many as 400 students have been awarded merit-based scholarships
North South University (NSU) organized a virtual orientation for the newly enrolled students of Fall-2021 semester on Monday.
All students were connected virtually through the university’s official Facebook page and guests were present physically at NSU campus, maintaining health-safety guidelines.
Around 1,700 students got into the graduate (honours) courses in 16 departments of the four schools of the university and around 400 students have been awarded a merit-based scholarship based on their previous results.

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as chief guest while Azim Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Board of Trustees, attended the program as the special guest, and Dr Firdausi Qadri, emeritus scientist at icddr,b, as the orientation speaker.
Prof Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor of the university, chaired the event.
Board members, pro-vice-chancellor, treasurer, deans of schools, directors, department heads, faculties, and other officials were present, among others.
