
The first ever Foreign Office Consultations (FoC) between Bangladesh and Hungary was held on Wednesday at the state guest house Meghna in Dhaka.
The delegation teams of the two countries have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in education, culture, water resources management, agriculture and ICT sectors, according to a press release.
Mohammad Khorshed A Khastagir, director general of Europe Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Dr Sándor Sipos, director general for Asia Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary led their respective delegations in the meeting.
Representatives of the Ministries of Education, Commerce, Water Resources, Agriculture, Cultural Affairs, Bangladesh Water Development Board, Water Resources Planning Organization (WRPO) and BIDA were present in the meeting.
Next FoC will take place in Budapest in 2018.
