The 48th Victory Day of Bangladesh was observed by the country’s assistant high commissions at Agartala and Guwahati in India.
The program at the Agartala mission was hosted by Assistant High Commissioner Kiriti Chakma,and the Guwahati mission program was hosted by Assistant High Commissioner Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur.
Both the assistant high commissioners began their respective programs by hoisting the Bangladesh national flag to the tune of the national anthem.
This was followed by placing wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War.
This was followed by a prayer dedicated to the martyrs' souls.
