An 11-member Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) delegation has reached Maungdaw in Myanmar for a flag meeting on various border-related issues between the two countries.
The team reached Maungdaw around 10am on Monday after leaving from the transit jetty at Teknaf.

The meeting was to be held between the regional commanders of BGB and Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) the same day.
The BGB delegation is led by its Cox’s Bazar regional commander, Brigadier General Ainul Morshed Khan Pathan.
Various issues, including border safety, preventing narcotics smuggling, enhancing joint patrols, and removal of landmines from the no man’s land area between the two countries, will be discussed.
