Foreign Minister makes the request in a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart
Bangladesh has asked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to increase the number of flights to Saudi Arabia, to facilitate the return of Bangladeshi migrant workers stuck in their home country due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen made the request in a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al- Saud, on Sunday, according to the Foreign Ministry.

He also thanked the Saudi foreign minister for renewing iqamas and extending visas for Bangladeshis.
Dr Momen requested Al-Saud to provide permission to Biman Bangladesh Airlines to operate flights to the Saudi city of Dammam.
Currently, Biman, the Bangladesh national flag carrier, operates flights to Riyadh, Madinah, and Jeddah only.
