Kuwait expatriates who were forced to return home have been stuck here for more than a year
Kuwait will lift its ban and resume commercial flights with Bangladesh, among other countries, while adhering to the Covid-19 measures set by a ministerial committee.
A cabinet statement on Wednesday said the decision also includes resuming flights with India, Egypt, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The flight ban on Bangladesh was imposed back in early May this year.
Bangladeshi expatriates who work in Kuwait and were forced to return home have been stuck here for more than a year due to various restrictions including the flight ban because of Covid-19.
Many of the migrants are frustrated as their visas have expired.
Meanwhile, authorities in Bangladesh have given the Covid-19 vaccines to the migrant workers on a priority basis.
