Outgoing Air chief, new Air chief meet PM

Air Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat will take over the command of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) on June 12 for three years.

Both the outgoing Air chief Marshal Abu Esrar and the new chief Air Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat have paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Jatiya Sangsad office.

Air Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat will take over the command of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) on June 12 for three years.

At the meeting on Wednesday, the prime minister welcomed the new chief while she praised the works of the outgoing chief, said PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim while briefing reporters after the meeting.

The outgoing Air chief expressed his gratitude to the prime minister for the cooperation extended by her and her government to him during his tenure.

Mentioning her government's commitment to developing the Bangladesh Air Force, Sheikh Hasina stressed the need for building a strong air force in the country.

The prime minister expressed hope that the air force will get stronger under the leadership of the new Air chief.
