BAF holds closing parade for graduates

The newly graduated aircraftmen are hoped to be the future safeguards of Bangladesh airspace

The closing parade of the 46th graduating batch of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), consisting of 607 young recruits, was held at the Recruits' Training School at the BAF C&M Unit Shamshernagar in Moulvibazar on Sunday.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat took the salute as the parade and march-past went by. He then distributed trophies among the recruits for their outstanding results, according to a press release sent by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). 

Out of the 607 recruits, Aircraftmen [AC-II] Shanto Majumdar and [AC-II] Md Sobuj Alom were adjudged as the best recruits in academics and general service training. Aircraftman [AC-II] Md Abu Al Morsalin Shanto was announced the best recruit for his all-round performance.

In his speech, Air Chief Marshal Serniabat advised the recruits to work with honesty, integrity, sincerity and establish themselves as exemplary airmen of Bangladesh Air force. 

He concluded his speech wishing that the young recruits will be able to make strong contributions in safeguarding the airspace of Bangladesh through the demonstration of steadfast patriotism.

Several other dignitaries, officials, eminent locals, civil servants, journalists, and families of the graduating trainees were present at the event.
