A UN peacekeeper from Bangladesh died in the Central African Republic (CAR) on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Atiqul Islam, said a press release by Inter-service Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
The Bangladeshi peacekeeper Atiqul suffered grievous injuries when was accidentally electrocuted during his duties in the Beleco area around 9:30am local time.
The UN Peacekeepers rescued Atiqul Islam and had rushed him to a level-1 hospital in Boar, however, physicians at the hospital declared him dead at 12:45 local time.
