Mohammad Athif, father of deceased Maldivian model Raudha Athif who was studying medicine in Bangladesh, suspects that his daughter may have been murdered.
Raudha was
found dead at a dormitory of Islami Bank Medical College in Rajshahi on March 29.

“My daughter cannot commit suicide. She was murdered,” he told reporters on Tuesday following a meeting with two visiting Maldivian police officers at Rajshahi Parjatan Motel.

The
Maldivian police officials also met with Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) officials and the medical college authorities. They spoke with the students as well.
They also visited Raudha's room at the women's dormitory and examined the doors, windows and other implements of her room.

Amin Hossain, assistant commissioner of RMP Detective Branch, said they had been looking into the incident keeping in mind that Raudha could have been murdered.
"There is a 50% chance that she did not commit suicide," he added.
Her mobile phone and laptop have been sent to the Criminal Investigation Department in Dhaka for further scrutiny, he added.
