Rajshahi boat capsize: 5 bodies recovered
The bodies of five people, who went missing after a boat capsized in the Padma river in Rajshahi, have been recovered. The deceased are boatmen Rafiqul Islam, Robin, 28, Asadul, 45, Jamia Islami Shahmukhdum Madrasa students Tamim and Abdul Ahad. Rajshahi Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Senior Station Officer Farhad Hossain said: “The bodies were recovered around 6:30am on Tuesday and handed over to Boalia and Motihar police stations.” These five people went missing when a boat carrying them capsized in Padma river in Dorgapara area during a nor'wester on Sunday. Their boat capsized while they were returning from Pobar Chor Khadipur area after meeting their friends Sunday evening.”
