Police shoot dead two robbers in Naogaon

Two suspected robbers have been shot dead by police in Naogaon’s Niamatpur Upazila. The deceased are Mojammel and Shujon. Two of their associates were also injured in the skirmish. Niamatpur police OC Rafiqul Islam said the robbers were fleeing the scene after a robbery around Wednesday midnight. Police reached the spot and tried to apprehend them. “We fired shots at them at one stage,” the OC said. “Two were killed in the firing and others were injured.” The injured are being treated at the Naogaon Sadar Hospital.
