Two people have been killed in a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy in Mymensingh’s Muktagachha upazila.
Six others were also injured in the clashes that broke out around 3am on Thursday.
Police identified the deceased as Nazrul group's leader Nazrul Islam, 45, and Manu group's head Moizuddin, 45.
Muktagachha police station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akhter Morshed said the two men were critically injured in the clash.
“They died when being taken to hospital,” the police officer added.
Six other members of the groups were also injured. They are being treated at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
Police say they are preparing to file a case over the incident.
