
A Bangladeshi cattle smuggler went missing on Tuesday after falling in the Kalai River at Hizalmari border in Rowmari upazila of Kurigram district.
According to Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) sources, patrolling Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members of Mankarchar camp threw stones as Nur Hossain, 25, son of the late Munna Miah, was trying to cross the border in the early morning with a group of cattle smugglers. Nur fell into the river after being injured.
Lieutenant Colonel Atikur Rahman, director of 35 Border Guards battalion, said BGB is trying to rescue the missing cattle smuggler.
