Sylhet's rail communication with the rest of the country has resumed after parts of the railway track was covered in mud following a landslide in the Lauachhara National Park.
Incessant rain from Sunday night triggered the landslide, snapping the rail links since Monday morning.
Railway workers worked for several hours to remove mud from the tracks.
Train services finally resumed around Monday noon, Sub-Station Engineer Irfan Ali told the Dhaka Tribune.
A Dhaka-bound train was stranded at the Bhanugachh station following the landslide.
