Child killed as bus rams motorcycle in Naogaon

A child aged about seven has been killed in Naogaon as a bus rammed a motorcycle on Naogaon-Rajshahi highway. The victim, Abdullah, son of Saiful Islam, 30, died on the spot when a bus of Soudia Paribahan hit the motorbike on which they were travelling around 10am on Sunday. According to local sources, a Ferighat-bound bus from Naogaon hit the motorcycle, carrying the child along with his parents, near Nowhatamor Haque petrol pump in the district’s Mohadevpur upazila. Local people rushed the injured parents to Noagaon Sadar Hospital. Nowhata police Sub-Inspector Shamim, confirming the authenticity of the incident, told the Dhaka Tribune that the child's body was taken to the nearest police box. "We are trying to arrest the bus driver," the SI added.
