Yet another boat capsizes killing 12 Rohingyas

In the latest incident of boat capsize, at least eight people – seven children and five women – have drowned in the estuary of the Naf River. The accident took place after an overcrowded boat carrying the Rogingya, who tried to enter Bangladesh fleeing Myanmar army's persecution in Rakhine state, capsized in the wee hours of Monday. "12 bodies have been recovered so far," Coastguard Station Officer Zafar Imam Sajib said. However, the identity of the deceased could not be known yet. Police retrieved the bodies and rescued 10 Rohingya from near the shore of Shah Porir Dwip in Teknaf upazila with the help of coastguard, said Additional Superintendent of Police Md Afrozul Haq Tutul in Cox's Bazar. Boat capsizes have killed many desperate Rohingya men, women and children trying to cross into Bangladesh from Myanmar in crammed boats.
