
A worker, who suffered third-degree burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at a cosmetics factory in Gazipur, has died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday.
Imran Hossain, 30, son of Abul Hossain from Kurigram district, had died at the hospital, said DMCH police camp in-charge Sub-Inspector Bachchu Miah.
With Imran's death, the death toll from the incident now stands at 11.
The gas cylinder went off with a bang at “FS Cosmetics Ltd” in Jamalpur area under Kaliakoir upazila around 4:30pm on December 12 when some 35 workers were working inside it.

The factory caught fire following the explosion, leaving 11 workers injured. The injured were taken to different hospitals, including DMCH.
To investigate into the incident, district administration formed a five-member probe body, headed by Kaliakoir Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Saiful Islam.
The committee was asked to submit probe report within seven working days.
