
Finance Minister AMA Muhith has said there is enough evidence to support Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s allegations that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s family has assets in Saudi Arabia.
“Certainly, there is plenty of information behind the allegation which was raised by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, regarding the illegal assets of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s family in Saudi Arabia. And it can be proved,” he told reporters while unveiling a mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) campus Saturday.
He also mentioned that the legal notice sent to the Prime Minister over the remarks would be dealt with legally.

Earlier in the inauguration program, the finance minister urged the teachers and researchers of SAU to focus on providing the country’s farmers with newer technologies.
“The achievements of the agriculture sector in this country is marvellous. The base of our economy is agriculture. After independence, 11 million metric tons of food grains was produced in the country. In recent times, the amount of farmlands has decreased, but about 30 million metric tons of food grains is being produced owing to the efforts of the agriculturalists,” he said.
