BGB send back 3 detained BSF members
The three personnel of Indian Border Security Force (BSF), who were detained by the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Monday morning, have been sent back. The detainees were sent back to their country after a flag meeting between the border forces of the two countries around 1:30pm, confirmed Major Md Asif Bulbul, deputy commander of BGB battalion-1. The three BSF members -- ASI Harnath Singh, Constables Rakesh Kumar and Santosh Kumar -- were detained for intruding into Bangladesh territory at Char Majhar Diyar area of Rajshahi district. Subedar Shamim Uddin of BGB battalion-1 said the BSF members mistakenly entered into the border around 7:30am. The BSF members made the mistake due to thick fog and there is no demarcation line in the area, the BGB official said.
