A Border Guard Bangladesh patrol team arrested a Nigerian citizen called Omoregbe Steven Osato for illegally entering Bangladesh on December 26.
He snuck into Bangladesh from Teroghor near Gatipara border in Benapole.

Omoregbe arrived in New Delhi on December 12 on a business visa. But he did not have a visa for Bangladesh. When he attempted to sneak in, the BGB patrol team from 21 BGB Dowlatpur apprehended him.
BGB Commander Lt Col Tariqul Hakim confirmed the detention and said he was being held at Benapole Port police station.
