Mentally challanged man detained for matricide

A mentally challanged man has slaughtered his mother over a trifling matter in Salanga upazila, Sirajganj. Salanga police station Officer-in-Charge Waheduzzaman said Tutul, 25, had killed his mother Johura Begum, 55, by slaughtering her with a cleaver at their house in Mehmanshahi village around 2:30pm on Thursday. Tutul attacked his mother after she refused to cook a dead heron he bought to the house, according to the OC. Police have already arrested Tutul. The dead body was also sent to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
