A Chuadanga court on Monday sent a truck driver to jail in a case filed over the killing of 13 day-labourers in a road accident in the district’s Damurhuda upazila in 2016.
Mostafizur Rahman, judge of Damurhuda Cognisance Court, passed the order after prime accused Rajib Hossain, 30, surrendered before his court.
At least 13 people were killed as Rajib's truck collided head-on with a human-hauler at Joyrampur village on the Chuadanga-Darsana road in Damurhuda on March 26, 2016.
A case was filed against Rajib and his helper Jewel over the accident.
Jewel surrendered before the court on November 29 last year.
