
Workers of UMC Jute Mill in Narsingdi have launched protests demanding the implementation of their wage commission among 11 other points.
Thousands of workers from the UMC participated in the protest led by the Bangladesh State-Owned Jute Mill CBA-Non CBA Oikya Parishad's UMC branch on Wednesday morning.
After marching through several major roads in the city, the protesting workers gathered in front of the Deputy Commissioners Office. Subsequently, they went to the UMC workers stage hall.
Bangladesh State-Owned Jute Mill CBA-Non CBA Oikya Parishad's Dhaka branch organizer and UMC jute mill worker union president Anisur Rahman, along with other worker leaders of UMC, gave speeches at the protest program.
