A mild earthquake has jolted the northern districts of Lalmonirhat, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Kurigram.
According to Rangpur Met Office, the tremor was felt around 7:15am on Saturday. It measured 4.6 on the Richter scale.
The Dhaka Tribune's Kurigram and Lalmonirhat correspondents reported that the tremor had lasted for around six seconds.
The earthquake was felt for about five seconds in Dinajpur and couple of seconds in Rangpur, our correspondents reported.
Rangpur Met Office's official Abdus Sabur told the Dhaka Tribune that the epicentre was in Assam's Gauripur.
No casualty was reported.
