One killed in mudslide at Bichhanakandi stone quarry

A worker has been killed in a mudslide at a stone quarry in Bichhanakandi area under Goainghat upazila, Sylhet. Ruhel Ahmed, 20, of Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj, died on the spot in the mudslide around 10am on Saturday, according to other workers who survived the incident. Goainghat police station Officer-in-Charge Delowar Hossain said police had already recovered the dead body of Ruhel from the stone pit, and had sent it to the morgue of Osmani Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
