Hefazat-e-Islam chief Shah Ahmed Shafi has urged the government to take strong action against Myanmar over the neighbouring country's aggressive behaviour.
In a media statement on Monday, Shafi said Myanmar was indulging in such cunning activities as part of a plot to not take back the displaced Rohingya people from Bangladesh.
“Myanmar is crossing its limit and it should be given a befitting reply for such questionable activities. People of the country should remain alert to resist conspiracies against the country,” he suggested.
He said Myanmar was intensifying its military presence along the border of Bangladesh with an evil motive. "Bangladesh should tread carefully and take quick and appropriate steps in this regard.”
