Fire breaks out at Savar RMG factories

A fire broke out at three garment factories at Zirabo in Savar on the outskirts of Dhaka on Friday around 4:30pm. A large number of sacks containing RMG raw materials and products were gutted in the fire even though fire brigade personnel doused the blaze within two hours of breaking out. No casualty was reported in this connection. Abdul Hamid, senior station officer of Dhaka EPZ Fire Service, said they were yet to uncover the cause of the fire and determine the extent of loss.
