Three people have been killed in lightning strikes in Madaripur and Jamalpur districts.

In Madaripur, two persons died after being hit by lightning bolts in separate incidents at Rajoir upazila, police and Upazila Health Complex doctors confirmed.
Kalpana Baroi, 40, a housewife, was killed around 8pm Saturday at the yard of her home at Amgram Sirajkathi village.
Matlab Bepari, 42, a farmer, was killed around 3:30pm Sunday when he was returning home after working at a field at Durgaboddi village.
In Jamalpur, a 20-year-old farmer named Manju Mia died in a lightning strike at Bakshiganj upazila, police said.
Manju was critically injured when the sheet of tin he was under to avoid rain at Pakhimara area was hit by lightning around 4:30pm.
He was rushed to the Bakshiganj Upazila Health Complex, where duty doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
