Police were able to track down the vehicle, but the driver and helper escaped
A 4-year-old girl named Bushra Akhter has been killed in an accident with a bus.
The incident occurred in the Madhabkathi bazaar area on the Satkhira-Jessore Highway around 11:30am on Thursday.
Bushra was from the Boladanga village of Jhaudanga union under Satkhira Sadar upazila.
Eyewitnesses said Bushra was going home with her uncle on a cycle when a speeding bus bound for Jessore slammed into them from behind. This caused Bushra to be thrown onto the road, with the bus then running her over and speeding away, killing her on the spot.

Nearby Kalaroa police station OC Maruf Ahmed, who oversaw the recovery of the bus, said: “The culprits left the bus at a petrol pump in Kalaroa and made their escape.”
