Authorities have imposed section 144 on three Eid congregations in Tangail’s Ghatail.
The district commission issued the order on Tuesday night because two local groups had opted to organize Eid-ul-Azha prayers at these locations.
The ban was imposed to prevent incidents, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Dilruba Ahmed said.
“The ban on gatherings will remain in place there until Wednesday evening,” she said.
