It stretches from Hasanpur in Daudkandi to the Meghna Bridge in Munshiganj
Thousands of passengers are suffering due to a 15-kilometre-long tailback on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Comilla’s Daudkandi Upazila.
The gridlock stretched from Daudkandi’s Hasanpur to the eastern side of Meghna Bridge in Munshiganj since Thursday morning, reports UNB.
The tailback was formed due to a large number of vehicles on the highway ahead of the weekend, said Daudkandi highway police’s Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad.
Besides, the vehicles moving on the highway are using one lane as following the construction work on the road near Meghna Bridge, he added.
