Police have recovered six hand-made bombs and five petrol bombs from Rakhi village in Chunarughat upazila, Habiganj in the early hours of Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Chunarughat police conducted a drive in the village’s Razar Bazar area and recovered the bombs from an abandoned road-side shop, said Chunarughat police station OC AKM Azmiruzzaman.
The bombs were sent to the bomb disposal unit, the OC said.
Police primarily suspect that these bombs were stored in the shop to be used later in subversive activities.
No one has been arrested in this connection as yet, but police are looking into the matter, the OC said.
