Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leaders of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University have urged the authorities to withdraw the suspension of their five leaders.
They came up with the demand at a press briefing at the Tangail press club on Tuesday afternoon.
The university unit Chhatra League President Sajib Talukder read out the written document in the presence of the other leaders of the institution.

Authorities of the Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University suspended five BCL leaders of the university unit on charges of misbehaving with teachers.
The decision was made at a board meeting held on Monday evening, said a university official.
The suspended leaders are President Sajib Talukdar; Vice-Presidents Md Imran Mia and Adrita Panna; Joint General Secretaries Zabir Iqbal and Yasir Arafat.
The authorities took the action following the mass resignation of 56 teachers of the university in protest of the unruly acts committed by the BCL leaders.
The teachers, including: two Regent Board members, four deans, four provosts, 14 department chairpersons, and all house tutors and assistant provosts, submitted their resignations to Registrar Prof Touhidul Islam.
According to sources at the university, a group of Chhatra League men of the university unit led by President Sajib Talukdar, forced teachers of the quantum mechanics department to allow an underperforming student to sit for an ongoing exam on Sunday.
When the teachers refused, the unruly group harassed and threatened them with violence. The Chhatra League members then stood guard around the student until she finished and submitted her exam paper.
