The accident occurred 3:30am on Monday
At least three people, including a man and his son, have been killed as a covered van hit an auto-rickshaw on Chandpur-Cumilla road near Bakila Bazar under Haziganj upazila of Chandpur.
The deceased are LM Hossain, 45, his son Akram Hossain, 27, and Abu Sufian, 36, residents of Kamta in Shahrasti upazila.
The accident occurred 3:30am on Monday.
Chandpur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Farid Ahmed said two others were also injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to General Hospital.
