Bir Protik Taramon Bibi transferred to Dhaka CMH

Bir Protik Taramon Bibi is being transferred to the Dhaka CMH for advanced treatment from the Mymensingh CMH due to her deteriorating health condition. 

Mymensingh district administrator Dr. Subhash Chandra Biswas said, “Bir Protik Taramon Bibi was admitted to the Mymensingh CMH for in a critical health condition on Thursday afternoon and was sent to the Dhaka CMH in a special aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force for advanced treatment.” 

Both the district administrator and her son Abu Taher confirmed that the doctors had advised to admit her to the Dhaka CMH after diagnosis. 

Taramon Bibi had been suffering from a cough and breathing problems for a long time. 

A health official of the Rajibpur district health complex, Dr Delwar Hossain said that currently her health condition is critical and she is unable to talk.  

After diagnosis today, her son informed that a high level of diabetes was also identified while seeking prayers from everyone. 

Notably, her real name is Taramon Begum. She was awarded the "Bir Protik" title for her courageous contribution during the liberation war in 1973.
