Worker killed in head-on collision in Habiganj

A worker has been killed in an accident in Habiganj district.  

Sajal Sarker, 25, died in a head-on collision between a bus and a tractor in Bahubal area of Habiganj around 10:30am on Saturday. Two others, including the tractor driver Rubel Mia, were injured. 

Sajal hailed from Kandigao village of Notunbazar area under Bhadeshwar union of Bahubal upazila. The injured have been admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital in critical conditions.

Local sources said a Sylhet-bound bus, coming from Dhaka, collided with a tractor coming from the opposite direction at Bahubal area, killing Sajal on the spot. 

Locals rescued the tractor driver and admitted him to Habiganj Hospital. 

Bahubal Model police station Officer-in-Charge Md Masuk Ali confirmed the incident to the Dhaka Tribune.
