Average temperatures throughout the country will remain mostly unchanged
The lowest temperature in Bangladesh has been recorded at 12.8°C in Sreemangal and Tetulia.
Dhaka met office meteorologist Md Arif Hossain confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
Moulvibazar district, of which Sreemangal is a part, has been experiencing a cold wave, chilly weather and light to medium fog during nighttime for the past few days.
The forecast also predicted that the average daytime and nighttime temperatures throughout the country will remain mostly unchanged.
Meanwhile, Sreemangal Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) MdNazrul Islam said: “We face one of the coldest winters in the country every year, so we are prepared to tackle it. We will soon begin distributing blankets and winter clothes to the impoverished and destitute in the region.”
