Customs officials have seized 52 gold bars worth around Tk2.2 crore from a flight of Biman Bangladesh at Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
The gold bars—weighing over 6.32kg—were sized on Saturday morning.
Ahmedur Reza Chowdhury, an assistant commissioner of customs intelligence, said: “Acting on a tip-off, we searched the plane and recovered the gold bars from a bag.”
However, no one was detained in this connection.
