The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered firearms and ammunition from Sonagazi municipality of Feni, early on Saturday.
"Based on a tip-off, a RAB team raided Charchandia area of the municipality and recovered 10 firearms from miscreants planning to carry out acts of sabotage ahead of Sunday's election," said RAB 7 Camp Company Captain squadron leader Shafayet Jamil Fahim; at a press briefing held at Sonagazi.
The miscreants fled the scene, leaving behind a bag containing 10 firearms—including pistols and revolvers—along with six magazines and 38 bullets, he said.
