Children of freedom fighters demonstrate for 30% government quota

Later, they demonstrated near the main gate area of the varsity urging the government to execute their six point demand, including the 30% quota system

Children of freedom fighters at Rajshahi University organized various programmes in favor of the existing 30 percent quota for them in government jobs.

Under the banner of 'Muktijoddar Santan o Projonmo' the children blocked the Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway in front of the university around 11am causing a heavy traffic jam.

Later, they demonstrated near the main gate area of the varsity urging the government to execute their six point demand, including the 30% quota system.

Among others, Amar Shuvo Roy , RU unit Quota Reform Movement convener, and Freedom Fighter Ashraf Chowdhury, spoke at the event.

They also protested the recent movement by students of different universities and colleges regarding reformation of the existing quota system in the Bangladesh Civil Service and other government recruitment processes.
