3 students killed in Gazipur road accident

Three students have been killed in a collision between a bus and a motorcycle at the Itahata area in Konabari ofGazipur. 

The accident occurred when a bus of Palash Paribahan collided with a motorcycle on Dhaka-Tangail highway around 10am on Sunday.

The deceased are Raja Babu, 18, Johny, 17, and Shakib Hossain, 17. They were class 12 students at Professor Shahjahan Ali College. 

Muktar Hossain, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Bashan police station, said: “Two motorcyclists were killed on the spot in the accident while another was declared dead when taken to a nearby clinic.” 

On information, the police recovered the bodies. 

The OC said they have detained the driver and seized the bus. 

He said after preparing primary investigation report, they will send the bodies to Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical College for autopsy.
