Students stage demo protesting schoolboy's death in Narshingdi

Students from several educational institutions of Belab upazila under the Narshingdi district have blocked the Baroucha bus stand intersection on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway.

The demonstration that started  around 10am on Saturday comes in the wake of a schoolboy's death on March 21.

They also demanded the setting up of a foot-over bridge at the Baraicha bus stand.

Belab Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shamima Sultana rushed to the spot upon being notified of the student protests. 

Later, the students called off  their demonstration when UNO Shamim assured them of their demands to be met.
