Locals spotted Limon Mazumder in an under-construction building
Police have recovered the hanging body of a local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from Amirabad area in Madaripur.
The incident occurred in Madaripur town on Monday morning.
The deceased—Limon Mazumder, 28—was vice-president of Chhatra League's Madaripur unit and a third year student of Government Nazim Uddin College.
Limon's family claimed that he did not commit suicide, and that the act was premeditated murder. Thus, they have demanded exemplary punishment of this crime.
Madaripur Chhatra League President Zahid Hossain Anik said they were deeply shocked by the news of Limon's death.
Reiterating the statement by Limon's family, he requested law enforcement to promptly investigate the incident, and bring the culprits to justice.

Acting on information, police recovered the body and sent it to the Madaripur Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he told the Dhaka Tribune.
"Any further legal steps will be taken after we receive the autopsy report," the OC added.
